M Core secures five new lettings at The Concourse Shopping Centre, Skelmsdale
“These five lettings show what The Concourse is for: the services, food and shops people in Skelmersdale use every week. Bringing a banking hub into the centre means residents and local businesses no longer need to travel to manage their money in person, and ROAST, Nutrix Performance, CJ Toys and our new salon each give shoppers another reason to visit. We’re continuing to work with independent and national operators to fill our remaining units.”
The Concourse Shopping Centre in Skelmersdale has welcomed five new occupiers, bringing face-to-face banking back to the town centre alongside new food, health and beauty, and family retail.
The new arrivals are:
- Skelmersdale Banking Hub (Unit 59a): shared banking services for personal and business customers, now open.
- ROAST (Unit 19): food to go, opening its ninth store.
- A new hair salon (Unit 39): name and opening date to be revealed soon.
- Nutrix Performance (Market Hall, Stall 25): protein drinks and bars, workout supplements, fresh smoothies and acai bowls.
- CJ Toys (Kiosk 148b): toys, plushies, squishies, sensory toys and games, open since August.
Everyday banking at The Concourse
The Skelmersdale Banking Hub, operated by Cash Access UK, opened in September next to Ramsden. Customers of any participating bank can withdraw and deposit cash, pay in cheques, check balances and pay bills, with the same services available to business customers. A community banker service also lets customers speak to their own bank in a private space about more complex matters on that bank's scheduled day in the hub.
Caroline Midgley, Senior Acquisitions Manager at Cash Access UK, said: “We are delighted that the new banking hub is now open in The Concourse Shopping Centre. The hub brings cash and everyday banking services to the Skelmersdale community, and the community banker service gives customers a private space to talk to their own bank about more complicated issues. Customers can check the hub window or the Skelmersdale Banking Hub webpage to find out which day their bank will be in.”
ROAST opens its ninth store
Dean Yates, Owner of ROAST, said: “ROAST is proud to open our ninth store at The Concourse Shopping Centre in the heart of Skelmersdale. Skelmersdale is built on a tight-knit community of hard-working, honest people, and it ticks every box for our concept: amazing quality food to go, fantastic customer service and disproportionate value for money.
Those are the three values that have made ROAST what it is today. I would like to thank Gary Mitchell and his team who run the centre for partnering with us to make this happen. We look forward to serving you all, and we hope you take us in as one of your own and tell your friends out of town.”
Independents add to the mix
CJ Toys opened at Kiosk 148b, stocking toys, plushies, squishies, sensory toys and games. Nutrix Performance has joined the Market Hall at Stall 25, serving protein drinks and bars, workout supplements, fresh smoothies and acai bowls. A new hair salon will open in Unit 39, with its name to be revealed soon.
A centre built around local need
Rob Ellis, Director at LCP UK, part of M Core, and Asset Manager for The Concourse Shopping Centre, said: “These five lettings show what The Concourse is for: the services, food and shops people in Skelmersdale use every week.
The new occupiers join Aldi, Boots, Argos, Iceland, Peacocks, Card Factory and Poundland at the centre, which offers 764 free car parking spaces.
