Primark opens at Grande Sud, Italy
"Securing Primark is an important deal for Grande Sud and this already shows what a great investment this is for the collective. It brings a major international retailer to the scheme, strengthening its position as a leading retail destination in Campania."
Primark opened its doors at Grande Sud last week: 4,260 sq m across two floors, 18 fitting rooms, 25 checkouts, and 180 new jobs for the Campania region. It's the first major deal since M Core's investment into the Italian market, and it landed with scale behind it.
The opening came just days after Primark's 500th store worldwide opened at La Cartiera in Pompeii on 1st September; its second Campania launch in a week. Between the two stores, Primark created 330 local jobs and passed 5,000 employees in Italy, part of a wider plan to reach 28 stores nationally.
Ben Chislett, Group Chief Operating Officer at LCP UK, part of M Core, said:
